  • Plant Roots: How They Absorb Water and Nutrients from Soil
    The part that gets water and minerals in the soil is the root. The roots are the underground part of the plant and are responsible for supplying the plant with water, minerals and nutrients from the soil. The root system mainly consists of tiny root hairs that vastly increase the surface area for absorption of these essential substances.
