Earthquakes don't shift the direction of Earth's axis of rotation which are called polar motion but can change rotation speed which are known as length of day (LOD).

According to the paper published in Science journal:

the 27 February 2010 Chile earthquake (8.8) produced a steplike change of about (1.20 ± 0.21) milliseconds per day (ms/d).
