  • Earth's Craters: Why Are They Disappearing?
There are many craters on Earth, but they are often hard to see because they have been eroded by wind, water, and ice over time. Some of the best-preserved craters are found in the deserts of the southwestern United States, such as Meteor Crater in Arizona. Other well-preserved craters are found in relatively young terrains, such as volcanoes.
