  • Climate Change & Desertification: Will the U.S. Become a Desert?
It is unlikely that the U.S. will become a desert in 50 years. While climate change is causing some areas of the U.S. to become drier, it is also causing other areas to become wetter. Additionally, the U.S. has a large and diverse landscape, and it is unlikely that all of it would become desert even if climate change were to cause significant changes to the environment.
