Replacing an outdated circuit breaker in an ITE electrical panel can be challenging. Because ITE components are no longer widely produced, sourcing a suitable replacement often requires looking beyond mainstream suppliers. Fortunately, several reputable manufacturers continue to produce or refurbish breakers that fit ITE panels, and a handful of specialty distributors keep them in stock.

    Siemens/ITE Home Breakers

Although ITE is an older brand, refurbished breakers are still available. For example, Relectric Supply Company stocks a variety of breakers; the Siemens/ITE type B115 is a common breaker used in many panels. It is a 120‑volt breaker with a 15‑ampere rating and is one pole, meaning it protects a single circuit in the home.

    ABB Breakers

The Asea Brown Boveri company stocks breakers compatible with ITE panels for industrial applications. These large breakers are designed for industrial power systems, with voltage ratings ranging from 200 to 600 volts and amperage ratings from 800 to 4,200 amps, depending on the model.

    Siemens Power Breakers

Siemens also manufactures power breakers for the electrical distribution industry. For instance, the HV type has a voltage capacity of 5,000 volts and can handle either 600 or 1,200 amps. The HK type is rated for 7,500 volts and supports 1,200 or 2,000 amps, depending on the configuration.
