  • Human Vision: Understanding the Electromagnetic Spectrum & Visible Light
Humans can sense a portion of the electromagnetic spectrum without using technology, specifically the visible light spectrum.

Our eyes have evolved to detect wavelengths of light between approximately 400 and 700 nanometers, which we perceive as different colors. We cannot directly sense other parts of the electromagnetic spectrum like radio waves, microwaves, infrared, ultraviolet, X-rays, or gamma rays.
