The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is expected to draw more than 170,000 attendees from 160 countries to the Las Vegas Convention Center and other venues across the city.
More than 3,200 exhibitors will be on hand to show off their latest products and services, from self-driving cars and artificial intelligence to virtual reality headsets and smart home devices.
Some of the most anticipated products expected to be unveiled at CES this year include:
* The latest smartphones from Samsung, Apple, and Huawei. These devices are expected to feature new designs, improved cameras, and more powerful processors. * New laptops and tablets from Dell, HP, and Lenovo. These devices are expected to be thinner and lighter than ever before, with longer battery life and more powerful performance. * Virtual reality headsets from Oculus, HTC, and Sony. These headsets are expected to offer improved immersion and graphics, and a wider range of games and experiences. * Smart home devices from Amazon, Google, and Apple. These devices are expected to make it easier for people to control their homes from their smartphones or voice assistants. * Self-driving cars from Tesla, Waymo, and Uber. These cars are expected to make significant progress towards commercialization in the coming years.
CES is also a major venue for startups to showcase their latest products and services. This year, more than 1,200 startups will be exhibiting at CES, hoping to catch the attention of investors and potential customers.
The show is also a major draw for media and analysts from around the world. More than 6,500 journalists from more than 150 countries are expected to attend CES this year.
