  • Understanding Stereo Images: A Step-by-Step Guide
STEREO (Single-Image Random Dot Stereograms) images are created using special software to generate a random array of black and white dots within a specified viewing area.

    1. Focus your eyes on the image. Stare past the dots until the two images appear as one; it often helps to blur your vision slightly when starting out.

    2. Once the left and right images merge, the image will suddenly appear 3D if viewed correctly.

    - If two identical sets of randomly arranged dots appear, you're crossed-eyed

    - If no three-dimensional impression forms, you will know that your eyes did not cross over far enough

    3. Relax to keep the 3D illusion, try focusing in different areas of the stereo picture to discover hidden items jumping in relief in different depths to appreciate a full 3D experience.
