Pig iron ingots are a resource available through the "Tinkers' Construct" mod for Minecraft. The finished product is a morbid visual pun, with the pink ingot featuring the placid features of a pig. "Tinkers' Construct," a tool and weapons mod, features an interactive structure called the Smeltery. The Smeltery is used to craft hundreds of different kinds of weapon and tool combinations, some with better results than others. Pig iron is created by smelting blood, iron, and emeralds. Tools made with pig iron ingots feature the "tasty," trait, which means they have a chance to drop bacon while in use.
Collect the emerald first, because it is one of the most difficult materials to find. You acquire emeralds in one of two ways: trading with villagers or mining. It is much more time-effective to trade materials with villagers than to dig for emerald ore. You need one emerald for one pig iron ingot.
Mine for iron ore. Iron is the most common tool-making material, and is available on the first 63 levels of the world. Iron ore is usually, but not always, grouped together in blocks of four. Turn the iron ore into an iron ingot through a normal smelter. You need one iron ingot for the pig iron recipe.
Collect blood from any mob with an HP of 6 or higher. Throw a mob into the Smeltery while it is molten to collect the blood. One mob will produce the 80 mB of liquid blood required for the pig iron ingot.
Click on the Smeltery to pull up the menu.
Add the emerald, iron ingot, and blood to the Smeltery.
Place the ingot cat on the casting table. The molten pig iron will pour into the mold automatically if the ratio is correct.
Collect your pig iron ingot.
Rotten Flesh produces 5 mB of blood if thrown into the Smeltery.
Villagers sometimes produce an emerald if thrown into the Smeltery.
Pigs or other livestock are the easiest sources of blood.
The Smeltery will drain your health if you attempt to collect blood from yourself.
Killing the villagers reduces your ability to trade with them in the future.
