  • Mercury: The Element That Doesn't Vaporize Easily
The element that has no gas phase under standard conditions is mercury (Hg).

While mercury is a liquid at room temperature, it has an extremely low vapor pressure. This means that only a tiny amount of mercury evaporates into the gas phase at normal conditions.

It's important to note that all elements can exist in a gas phase under *extreme* conditions, such as very high temperatures. However, under standard pressure and temperature, mercury remains in its liquid state.
