  • Water at 0°C: Exploring Solid (Ice) and Liquid Phases
At normal atmospheric pressure (1 atm) and a temperature of 0°C, water can exist in two phases:

    * Solid: Ice, the frozen state of water.

    * Liquid: Water, the familiar liquid state.

This is because 0°C is the freezing point of water. At this temperature, water can exist as both a solid and a liquid in equilibrium.
