  • DNA Base Pairing: Understanding A-T and G-C Bonds
In a DNA molecule, the nitrogen bases always bond with each other in the following pairs:

    * Adenine (A) always bonds with Thymine (T).

    * Guanine (G) always bonds with Cytosine (C).

This pairing is called complementary base pairing and is crucial for the structure and function of DNA. The two strands of DNA are held together by hydrogen bonds between these base pairs.
