  • Golgi Apparatus: Packaging and Shipping for Cellular Transport
The organelle that packages and ships substances out of the cell is the Golgi apparatus.

    Here's why:

    * Packaging: The Golgi apparatus receives proteins and lipids (fats) from the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). It then modifies, sorts, and packages these substances into vesicles (small, membrane-bound sacs).

    * Shipping: These vesicles bud off from the Golgi and travel to different destinations within the cell or outside the cell. Some vesicles deliver their contents to other organelles, while others fuse with the cell membrane to release their contents outside the cell.

Think of the Golgi apparatus like a post office: it receives, sorts, packages, and ships out the cell's "mail" (proteins, lipids, and other substances).
