In 1913, he proposed the Bohr model of the atom. This model stated that:

* Each energy level has a fixed energy associated with it.
* Electrons can jump between energy levels by absorbing or emitting photons of light.
This model, while not entirely accurate, was a major step forward in understanding atomic structure and laid the foundation for later, more sophisticated models.
