  • Boyle's Law: Understanding the Inverse Relationship Between Pressure and Volume
    Boyle's Law states that for a fixed amount of gas at a constant temperature, the pressure and volume are inversely proportional.

    This means:

    * As the pressure of a gas increases, its volume decreases.

    * As the pressure of a gas decreases, its volume increases.

    Mathematically, this is represented as:

    P₁V₁ = P₂V₂

    Where:

    * P₁ is the initial pressure

    * V₁ is the initial volume

    * P₂ is the final pressure

    * V₂ is the final volume

    In essence, Boyle's Law tells us that if you squeeze a gas into a smaller space, the pressure will rise. Conversely, if you allow a gas to expand into a larger space, the pressure will fall.
