  • Water Molecule vs. Carbon Atom: Size Comparison Explained
    A water molecule is bigger than a carbon atom.

    Here's why:

    * Water molecule (H₂O): Composed of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom.

    * Carbon atom (C): A single atom.

    Even though a carbon atom is heavier than a hydrogen atom, the *size* of a molecule is determined by the space it occupies. A water molecule, with its three atoms and their bonds, has a larger volume than a single carbon atom.
