  • Freezing Water: The Simple Process of Turning Liquid to Solid
The most common way to change water from a liquid to a solid is to freeze it.

Freezing involves lowering the temperature of the water below its freezing point (0 degrees Celsius or 32 degrees Fahrenheit). As the water cools, the molecules slow down and become more tightly packed, forming a crystalline structure. This is the solid form of water, which we know as ice.
