  • What State of Matter is Quartz? Properties and Explanation
    Quartz is a solid.

    Here's why:

    * Solid: Solids have a definite shape and volume. Quartz crystals are hard and maintain their shape.

    * Liquid: Liquids take the shape of their container and have a definite volume. Quartz doesn't flow like a liquid.

    * Gas: Gases have no definite shape or volume and expand to fill their container. Quartz doesn't behave like a gas.
