  • Identifying the Outlier: Why Hydrogen Doesn't Fit with Uranium, Boron, and Salt
The element that doesn't belong is hydrogen. Here's why:

    * Uranium, Boron, and Salt are all elements or compounds with metallic properties.

    * Uranium is a heavy radioactive metal.

    * Boron is a metalloid, meaning it shares properties of both metals and nonmetals.

    * Salt (typically sodium chloride) is a compound formed from a metal (sodium) and a nonmetal (chlorine).

    * Hydrogen, however, is a nonmetal. It's a gas at room temperature and is a key component of many organic compounds, but it doesn't share the metallic characteristics of the other items listed.
