  • Carbon and Hydrogen Bonding: Understanding Chemical Composition
    Carbon itself doesn't *have* hydrogen atoms. Carbon is an element, and hydrogen is a different element.

    However, carbon can bond with hydrogen atoms to form molecules. The most common example of this is methane (CH4), where one carbon atom bonds with four hydrogen atoms.

    So, while carbon itself doesn't have hydrogen atoms, it can form molecules with hydrogen atoms.
