* Hydrogen (H)
* Oxygen (O)
The chemical formula for water is H₂O, meaning each molecule of water consists of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom.
While the chemical composition remains the same, the difference between liquid water and water vapor lies in the arrangement and movement of these molecules. In liquid water, the molecules are tightly packed and move around relatively slowly. In water vapor, the molecules are much more spread out and move around much faster.
