  • Potassium Chloride (KCl): Understanding Atomic Composition
    Potassium chloride (KCl) has two atoms in each molecule:

    * One potassium atom (K)

    * One chlorine atom (Cl)

    It's important to note that potassium chloride exists as an ionic compound, not as individual molecules. It forms a crystal lattice structure where potassium ions (K+) and chloride ions (Cl-) are arranged in a regular pattern. However, we still use the formula KCl to represent the ratio of potassium to chlorine in this compound.
