  • Sodium Fluoride: Is It Organic or Inorganic? Properties & Classification
Sodium fluoride (NaF) is an inorganic compound.

    Here's why:

    * Organic compounds are generally defined as compounds containing carbon and hydrogen, often in combination with other elements like oxygen, nitrogen, sulfur, etc.

    * Inorganic compounds are all other compounds, including those without carbon, or with carbon but not in combination with hydrogen.

Sodium fluoride does not contain carbon, therefore it falls into the category of inorganic compounds.
