  • Vaporization: Understanding Liquid to Gas Phase Change
The change of state from a liquid to a gas is called vaporization.

There are two main types of vaporization:

    * Evaporation: This occurs at the surface of a liquid when molecules gain enough energy to escape into the air. It happens at temperatures below the liquid's boiling point.

    * Boiling: This occurs when a liquid reaches its boiling point and vaporization happens throughout the entire liquid, not just at the surface.
