  • Combustion of Hydrogen Sulfide (H₂S): Products and Chemical Equation
    When H₂S (hydrogen sulfide) burns, it converts into two gases:

    * Sulfur dioxide (SO₂) : This is the primary product of the combustion.

    * Water vapor (H₂O) : This is also produced during the reaction.

    The balanced chemical equation for the combustion of hydrogen sulfide is:

    2 H₂S + 3 O₂ → 2 SO₂ + 2 H₂O
