  • Cyclohexane and Sodium Hydroxide Reaction: Why They Don't React
There is no reaction between cyclohexane and sodium hydroxide.

    Here's why:

    * Cyclohexane is a saturated hydrocarbon, meaning it only contains single bonds between carbon atoms. It is very unreactive and does not readily undergo reactions with bases.

    * Sodium hydroxide (NaOH) is a strong base. While it can react with acids, it generally does not react with saturated hydrocarbons like cyclohexane.

Therefore, cyclohexane and sodium hydroxide will not react under typical conditions.
