  • Understanding Polar Molecules: Charges and Uneven Electron Distribution
A molecule with a positive end and a negative end is called a polar molecule.

This occurs because of an uneven distribution of electrons within the molecule, leading to a separation of charge. The end with more electrons becomes slightly negative (δ-), while the end with fewer electrons becomes slightly positive (δ+).
