  • Chlorine Phases: Properties, Uses, and Safety
    Chlorine exists in three phases:

    * Solid: At temperatures below -101.5°C (-150.7°F), chlorine is a yellow-green solid. It's commonly referred to as "chlorine ice."

    * Liquid: Between -101.5°C (-150.7°F) and -34.04°C (-29.27°F), chlorine is a yellowish-green liquid. This is the most common form of chlorine used in industrial applications.

    * Gas: Above -34.04°C (-29.27°F), chlorine is a greenish-yellow gas with a pungent, suffocating odor. It's highly reactive and toxic.

It's important to note that chlorine is a highly reactive element, and its phases can change rapidly with temperature fluctuations.
