  • Diatomic Elements: Definition, Examples & Properties
    An element composed of molecules consisting of two atoms of that element is called a diatomic element.

    Here are some examples of diatomic elements:

    * Hydrogen (H₂)

    * Nitrogen (N₂)

    * Oxygen (O₂)

    * Fluorine (F₂)

    * Chlorine (Cl₂)

    * Bromine (Br₂)

    * Iodine (I₂)

    These elements exist naturally as pairs of atoms bonded together. This is because they are more stable in this form than as individual atoms.
