  • Elements Similar to Chlorine: Bromine, Fluorine, and Iodine
Chlorine (Cl) is a halogen, and elements in the same group on the periodic table tend to share similar properties. Here are three elements with properties similar to chlorine:

    1. Bromine (Br): Bromine is located directly below chlorine on the periodic table. Both are nonmetals, highly reactive, and form similar types of compounds.

    2. Fluorine (F): Fluorine is located directly above chlorine on the periodic table. Like chlorine, it is a highly reactive nonmetal.

    3. Iodine (I): Iodine is located directly below bromine on the periodic table. It is also a nonmetal and shares many chemical properties with chlorine.

These elements are all halogens and thus have similar reactivity, electronegativity, and tendencies to form ionic compounds.
