  • Troposphere: The Atmospheric Layer with Highest Gas Concentration
The layer in the atmosphere with the most gas molecules is the troposphere. This is the lowest layer of the atmosphere, extending from the Earth's surface up to about 7-15 km (4-9 miles).

    Here's why:

    * Density: The troposphere has the highest density of air molecules due to gravity pulling them closer to the Earth's surface.

    * Pressure: This high density results in the highest atmospheric pressure in the troposphere.

    * Weather: Most weather phenomena occur in the troposphere because of the dynamic movement of air molecules.

While the other layers of the atmosphere (stratosphere, mesosphere, thermosphere, and exosphere) also contain gas molecules, their densities are significantly lower compared to the troposphere.
