    * Bias and Confirmation Bias: Paranormal investigators often approach investigations with pre-existing beliefs, leading to confirmation bias. They may interpret ambiguous data to fit their preconceived notions, rather than seeking evidence that contradicts their beliefs.

    * Lack of Replicable Evidence: Paranormal phenomena, such as EVP (electronic voice phenomena) or spirit photography, have not been consistently replicated under controlled conditions. Many purported examples can be attributed to natural phenomena, equipment malfunction, or deliberate manipulation.

    * Focus on the Extraordinary: Paranormal investigations tend to focus on the unusual and unexplained, often ignoring or dismissing more mundane explanations.

    It's important to note:

    * Some individuals conducting paranormal investigations genuinely believe in the phenomena they seek to explore.

    * Some paranormal investigators may use scientific tools and techniques, but these are often applied in ways that lack scientific rigor.
