  • Understanding Atoms: The Building Blocks of Everything
Everything you can see and touch is made up of atoms. This includes:

    * Solids: Rocks, trees, your phone, a chair, etc.

    * Liquids: Water, juice, oil, etc.

    * Gases: Air (made of nitrogen, oxygen, and other gases), helium in a balloon, etc.

Even things you can't see directly, like:

    * Plasma: The state of matter found in the sun and other stars.

    * Light: While not technically made of atoms, light is created by the interaction of atoms.

Essentially, everything in the physical universe is made up of atoms, with the exception of a few exotic particles like photons and neutrinos.
