  • Aluminum Chloride (AlCl₃): Formation and Reaction
When aluminum (Al) reacts with chlorine (Cl₂), the product formed is aluminum chloride (AlCl₃).

    The reaction is as follows:

    2 Al + 3 Cl₂ → 2 AlCl₃

This reaction is a classic example of a redox reaction where aluminum is oxidized (loses electrons) and chlorine is reduced (gains electrons).
