  • DNA in Chromatin: Understanding the Core Organic Molecule
The organic molecule found in the chromatin of cells is DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid).

    Here's why:

    * Chromatin is the complex of DNA and proteins that make up chromosomes within the nucleus of eukaryotic cells.

    * DNA contains the genetic instructions for the development and function of an organism. It is tightly packaged with proteins called histones to form chromatin.

So, while chromatin consists of both DNA and proteins, DNA is the primary organic molecule present.
