Cyanide gas, or hydrogen cyanide (HCN), is colorless. It is also odorless at low concentrations, but at higher concentrations it has a faint bitter almond-like smell.

It's important to note that not everyone can smell the almond-like scent, and relying on smell to detect cyanide is extremely dangerous.
