  • Essential Oil Concentration in Aromatic Waters: What's Typical?
    It is not proper to say that aromatic waters contain 0.2 percent of the substance. Here's why:

    * Aromatic waters are very dilute. They are typically made by distilling plant materials with water, and the resulting solution contains a very small amount of the plant's essential oils.

    * 0.2 percent is a relatively high concentration. For aromatic waters, the concentration of the essential oil is usually much lower, often in the range of 0.01% to 0.1%.

    * The specific concentration varies. The exact concentration of essential oil in an aromatic water depends on the plant material used, the distillation method, and the quality of the product.

    Instead of stating a specific percentage, it's better to use terms like:

    * "Low concentration"

    * "Dilute"

    * "Containing a trace amount of essential oil"

    You can also specify the approximate range of concentration if you have that information. For example, "This aromatic water contains approximately 0.05% of the essential oil."
