  • Composition of Aluminum Foil: Elements and Properties
Aluminum foil is made primarily of aluminum, which is a chemical element with the symbol Al and atomic number 13.

While the vast majority of aluminum foil is aluminum, it may also contain trace amounts of other elements, such as:

    * Silicon: Used to improve the foil's strength and resistance to tearing.

    * Manganese: Used to enhance the foil's corrosion resistance.

    * Iron: Present as an impurity from the aluminum ore.

However, these trace elements are present in very small amounts and don't significantly change the composition of the foil.
