  • Kool-Aid: Mixture or Pure Substance? Understanding the Difference
    Kool-Aid is a mixture.

    Here's why:

    * Mixture: A combination of two or more substances that are not chemically bonded. Each substance retains its own properties.

    * Pure Substance: A substance made up of only one type of atom or molecule.

Kool-Aid contains sugar, flavoring, and powdered citric acid (for tartness). These ingredients are combined but not chemically bonded, so they remain distinct. You can even separate some of them, like the sugar, if you try.
