  • What is pH? Understanding Hydrogen Ion Concentration
    The measurement of the concentration of hydrogen ions in a solution is called pH.

    Here's a little more about pH:

    * pH stands for "potential of hydrogen."

    * The pH scale ranges from 0 to 14.

    * A pH of 7 is neutral.

    * Solutions with a pH less than 7 are acidic, meaning they have a higher concentration of hydrogen ions.

    * Solutions with a pH greater than 7 are basic (alkaline), meaning they have a lower concentration of hydrogen ions.
