  • Natural Gas: Is It Really Invisible and Odorless?
That's a good question! While natural gas is invisible, it is not odorless.

Natural gas itself has no distinct smell. However, a strong-smelling chemical called mercaptan is added to it for safety reasons. This allows people to detect leaks quickly and take action before the gas can become dangerous.

So, while you can't see natural gas, you will be able to smell it if there's a leak!
