    A US gallon is a unit of volume in the US customary system of measurement. It's defined as:

    * 128 US fluid ounces

    Important Note: There's also a UK gallon, which is slightly larger than the US gallon. The UK gallon is equal to about 4.546 liters.

    Uses of the US gallon:
