  • Photosynthesis: The Key Ingredients – Carbon Dioxide & Water
    The two main chemicals that react during photosynthesis are:

    * Carbon dioxide (CO2): This is taken in from the atmosphere.

    * Water (H2O): This is absorbed from the soil through the roots.

    These chemicals are combined using energy from sunlight, resulting in the production of glucose (a sugar) and oxygen (O2).
