  • Understanding STP: 298K and 1 atm Atmospheric Pressure Explained
    298K and 1 atm atmospheric pressure are standard conditions for STP (Standard Temperature and Pressure).

    However, it's important to note that there are two different definitions of STP:

    * The older definition: 273.15 K (0 °C) and 1 atm (101.325 kPa)

    * The newer definition: 298.15 K (25 °C) and 1 atm (101.325 kPa)

    So, while 298K and 1 atm are often used interchangeably with STP, it's technically more accurate to say they represent the newer definition of STP.
