    It's not a "pH valve", but rather a pH scale that measures acidity.

    Here's how it works:

    * The pH scale ranges from 0 to 14.

    * A pH of 7 is neutral.

    * Values below 7 are acidic, with lower numbers indicating stronger acidity.

    * Values above 7 are basic (alkaline), with higher numbers indicating stronger alkalinity.

    So, the lower the pH value, the more acidic a substance is.
