Water vapor turns into liquid water when it gets cold. This process is called condensation. Condensation occurs when the water vapor in the air cools down to the point where it reaches its dew point, which is the temperature at which the air can no longer hold all of the water vapor it contains. When this happens, the water vapor condenses into liquid droplets, forming clouds, fog, or dew.
