    Polymineralic means composed of many minerals or composed of more than one mineral; multicrystalline.

    It can also mean composed of many minerals formed from magma of a similar origin: For example, the polymineralic rocks basalt, granite and andesite.

    The term is mainly applied to igneous and metamorphic rocks.
