  • Silver Nitrate and Barium Chloride Reaction: Understanding the Precipitate
    The reaction of silver nitrate (AgNO3) and barium chloride (BaCl2) results in the formation of a white precipitate. This precipitate is barium nitrate (Ba(NO3)2), which is insoluble in water. The overall reaction can be represented as follows:

    AgNO3 (aq) + BaCl2 (aq) → Ba(NO3)2 (s) + 2AgCl (s)
