  • Convection in Solids: Why It Doesn't Happen (and What Does?)
Convection does not occur in solid materials. Convection is the transfer of heat by the movement of a fluid. Fluids are substances that can flow, such as liquids or gases. Solids, on the other hand, are rigid and cannot flow. Therefore, convection cannot occur in solid materials.
