  • Hiroshima Atomic Bomb: Core Temperature & Effects - A Scientific Analysis
The atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, had an estimated temperature at its core of several million degrees Celsius.

The exact temperature is difficult to determine, as the bomb exploded in a fraction of a second and left behind little evidence.

However, scientists believe that the temperature at the center of the explosion was likely in the range of 300,000,000 to 500,000,000 degrees Celsius. This is hot enough to vaporize any material and create a fireball that extended for several kilometers.
